Carriacou:
Carriacou is a breathtakingly beautiful sun kissed island, virtually untouched by tourism. The island of Carriacou is the largest of the emerald chain of islands called the Grenadines, a group of islands located in the Eastern Caribbean. Carriacou is part of the tri-island state of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique. The Grenadines has long been described as the “South Pacific” of the Caribbean, and is a world famous sailing and diving Mecca. The Grenadines is rated by sailing aficionados from around the world as one of the best, if not the best, sailing and yachting paradise in the world. And the word is quickly getting out, about its out- of- this world diving and snorkeling. The Grenadines stretches like an emerald chain between St. Vincent in the north to Grenada in the south. There are over 40 islands /islets (gems) in this chain. And best of all it’s historically located out of the hurricane belt.
