The Economy and the Future: arriacouans have one of the highest per capita incomes in the Caribbean. Its people are friendly and hardworking, the work ethic is taken seriously on this island. Industrious and proud are two words that come to mind when one observes a Carriacouan. Unlike on some of the other islands, Carriacouans tend to frown upon those trying to push unwanted merchandise on tourists.
